Quick answer

Why won't my Wolf oven heat?

On a gas Wolf range it is usually a weak oven igniter or the safety valve; on a wall oven or dual-fuel range it is usually a bake element, the temperature sensor or the control board. Typical Wolf oven repairs run $250 to $1,200, far below a new unit. The $179 diagnostic comes off the repair.

Built for the Way Las Vegas Homes Cook

Wolf ranges in Summerlin and Henderson homes don't sit idle. Holiday dinners, weekend hosting and outdoor-kitchen parties put real hours on them, and kitchens open to the patio take in heat and dust most of the year. That use is what wears igniters, fans and elements. We see the pattern, so we know where to look first.

What Usually Stops a Wolf Oven From Heating

Gas oven igniter. On Wolf gas ranges, the oven igniter has to glow hot enough before the safety valve will release gas. Igniters weaken with age and heavy use. A weak one still glows, but never quite opens the valve, so the oven clicks or glows and stays cold.

Gas and safety valve. If the igniter is healthy and the oven still won't light, the safety valve or gas valve is the next suspect. These wear over years of daily cooking, and they are a gas part, which is why we price them only after a proper diagnostic.

Bake and broil elements. Wolf wall ovens and dual-fuel ranges heat electrically. A burned-out bake element is the classic "broiler works, bake doesn't" case. Elements are priced after the diagnostic.

Temperature sensor and control board. The sensor tells the board how hot the cavity is, and the board decides when to heat. A drifting sensor gives burned or raw food; a failing board gives blank displays, errors and shut-offs. Las Vegas kitchens add their own stress: summer heat around a built-in cavity and monsoon power surges both wear electronics.

Convection fan motor. The rear fan spreads heat evenly. Grease, fine desert dust and years of high-heat roasting wear its bearings until it grinds, slows or stops.

Steam oven scale. Wolf convection steam ovens run on water, and Las Vegas water is very hard. Mineral scale builds in the steam system and is one of the most common reasons these units fault here.

What Wolf Oven Repairs Typically Cost

Typical ranges, depending on the unit and the repair. These are not quotes.

  • Igniter or spark module: $250–$500
  • Convection fan motor: $350–$650
  • Gas valve / safety valve: $400–$850
  • Oven control board: $500–$1,200

Elements and sensors are priced after the diagnostic. Your exact price is set after the $179 diagnostic, and you approve it before any work starts.

Repair or replace?

Repair, almost every time. A Wolf range or wall oven is built to last decades, and replacing one means a new cutout, gas or electrical work and often cabinetry. Even a control board sits well below the cost of a new unit. The only time we raise replacement is when several major parts have failed on a very old oven, and then we show you both numbers.

FAQ

Wolf Oven Repair FAQ

Are you factory authorized?

No. Tuffix Pro is an independent repair service, not affiliated with Wolf or its parent company, Sub-Zero Group.

My Wolf gas oven clicks but won't light. What is that usually?

Most often a weak oven igniter, sometimes the safety valve. The valve stays closed until the igniter is hot enough, which is a safety feature. The diagnostic tells which part has failed.

Why is my Wolf oven's temperature off?

A drifting temperature sensor, a failing control board or a weak element. Each one shows up a little differently, and the diagnostic pins it down.

Do you repair Wolf wall ovens and range ovens?

Yes. Wall ovens, gas, dual-fuel and induction range ovens, and convection steam ovens.

Is it worth repairing an older Wolf oven?

Usually. Wolf ovens are built to last, and most repairs cost far less than a new unit plus installation.

How soon can someone come out?

You pick an arrival window when you book. If we're late for that confirmed window, the diagnostic is free.
